Backend, APIs and cloud
Keep the systems behind your app dependable, with clear access, repeatable releases and useful alerts.
You might ask for
- Speed up the slow app
- Move off the old server
- Set up staging
- Our AWS bill exploded
- Add single sign-on
Who it is for
- Businesses whose app depends on a slow or difficult-to-maintain backend
- Teams connecting partners, payments or several apps to one system
- Owners improving deployments, backups or cloud operating costs
What you get
- Clear access rules and dependable connections for the agreed systems
- Releases you can repeat and recover from when something goes wrong
- Monitoring and alerts for the failures that matter to your business
- Documented hosting choices, running costs and recovery steps
Approach
Your app slows down, each release needs manual steps and a rising hosting bill is hard to explain. A partner needs access to your data, but you need to protect the rest of the system and keep the service available while changes happen.
We start by looking at the current architecture, usage, access rules and failure points. Together we choose one useful improvement and define how to measure it. The written plan includes the release approach, recovery steps, timeline and expected running costs.
We build the agreed API or backend changes and make deployments repeatable. Permissions, monitoring and backup checks are part of the work where the scope calls for them. You see progress in a test environment before a change reaches your customers.
We check the important requests, access rules and recovery path before release. The code and infrastructure stay in your accounts. Your team gets operating instructions, API documentation and a walkthrough, with a clear process for alerts, updates and future changes.
Deliverables

- The agreed APIs, permissions or backend improvements
- Repeatable deployments and the agreed staging environment
- Monitoring, backup checks and a recovery runbook
- Documentation and a team walkthrough

Ways to work together
- Model 01
Roadmap
A one to two week review of your backend, cloud setup and running costs, ending in a written scope and a fixed quote for the changes.
- Model 02
Starter build
One API, deployment setup or defined cloud improvement, tested and live in two to four weeks.
- Model 03
Care plan
Monitoring, infrastructure updates, backup checks and small backend improvements each month.
Questions
Do we have to change our hosting provider?
Usually not. We first check the current setup and its limits. The plan compares staying with a move where it would solve a specific problem, including the work and running costs involved.
Can you investigate a slow app or a high cloud bill?
Yes. We start with measurements and the relevant usage or billing records. Then we explain the causes we can verify and propose changes with a clear way to check whether they help.
How do you avoid disrupting our existing system?
We agree on the release plan, test the changes in an appropriate environment and define a recovery path before switching over. Where a migration needs downtime, you see that requirement in the plan.
Who owns the cloud accounts and API documentation?
Your business does. Infrastructure and code are delivered into your accounts, with access rules, setup instructions and a walkthrough so your team can operate them or bring in another engineer.
